As the sun nears the horizon, the entire coastline is suddenly washed in gold.

In that moment, you’ll understand why some people are willing to spend days driving, taking ferries, and crossing multiple islands—just to get here.

This isn’t a typical tourist destination.

No crowded tour buses. No fixed schedules.

This is the Oki Islands —a chain of islands hidden in the Sea of Japan, known for dramatic sea cliffs, untouched coastlines, and unforgettable skies.

And this time, we’re exploring it slowly—with 4WD vehicles and camping.

Seven days. A small convoy.Driving along coastlines and mountain roads.

Chasing sunrises, catching sunsets, and photographing star-filled skies.

If you love camping, off-road driving, and places that don’t appear on typical travel itineraries,

this might be the journey for you.
